A brilliant, unconventional and acerbic man who ignited my love for Keats, Coleridge and critical theory. I’m an academic in my thirties now and I still think of him as one of my greatest intellectual influences. They don’t make ‘em like DQ anymore!
In his own field. Original and brilliant. No day was boring, no lesson was useless and no teacher has stuck to their morals better.
Brilliant teacher but absolutely terrifying. Used to patrol the english corridor and people would run. Brilliant in class though, sad he left.
He is just amazing. Knowledegle man
my overall view of tim dequincey is that he knows his subject and he knows who wants to learn and those who- are just a waste of space.truly the best teacher, i can say ive had.also i always liked the
Absolute legend and the best tutor ever! Love the sarcasm
Amusingly cynical sometimes, great guy and a great teacher. Though he does know his stuff he can occassionally get a little dull though
One of my fav teachers, AT first hes so intimidatin and scary but after a while hes really funny witty and sarcastic so class is always fun.
He is such a great teacher but very scary when he's is ranting about how useless christmas, love and marriage is!!! LEDGEND!
Best teacher I ever had, refreshingly unconcerned about targets, political correctness etc and therefore a great teacher in the true sense of the word. Hates children, loves sixth formers!
a very funny sense of humour "oh go play in the road" ledge
No where near as scary as people led me to believe, he's actually really funny and witty. Always willing to help if you want it. Really interesting lessons and doesn't mind if you don't understand.
Absolute legend of a teacher. Inspirational and loves an under dog. The only teacher i have ever known to have commanded respect of every pupil he has ever taught. The school should never let him go.
He is a brilliant teacher, inspiring and great fun.One of the best!
I have a lot of respect for him, amazing teacher, and not afraid about PC which is fine with me, should probably go work in a uni tho as he doesn't seem to like kids below GCSE age so much
Brapsp up Mr. DQ! wot a legend fun lessons and when he takes the piss of someone, its so funny! Luv u sir!!
He is hillarious, and his outspoken views about people who may be sitting in front of him are fab! I thoroughly enjoyed his lessons though admittedly it was always silent...no one dares get on his wrong side!
good teacher but VERY scary!!!!! always extremely grumpy on thursdays lol
he's a great teacher for GCSE and sixth form but as he hates kids he scares the little ones witless. However, he is very witty and knowledgeable
A fantasically knowledgable teacher, managed to get me an A which I find incredible. He can be a little intimidating at times, but actually has a fantastic sense of humour.
Excellent teacher - once you get past his faux grumpiness he's actually got a very good sense of humour which makes lessons quite fun!
probably the best teacher in st gs when it comes to getting useful stuff in ur head and helping it stick there
DQ is a legend! He pretends to be all scary but actually he is hilariously funny, just don't get on the wrong side of him! A fantastic teacher-knows a lot about his subject and motivates all students
keep on his good side and you'll be fine! he's not all that bad really!
confessions of an opium eater great book what a name good steal
Fantastic teacher, do right by him and he'll do right by you. Not as grumpy as he thinks he is, actually quite fun.
