As someone has already said you will need to put in a extra bit of effort to learn if you have Green as your physics teacher. He can be helpful as he does have a great understanding of physics, but you just need to ask him for help. The reason he "hates" some people is usually because they talk and disrupt the class frequently, and he will only go into as much detail as the course specifications require, but if you show interest he will be willing to have a scientific debate.
I love model flying club
Doesnt tell you how to do things, just assumes everyone understands!
Takes him 10 minutes to realise you want to ask a question and then another 10 to answer it. Mostly boring lessons and quite repetitive. We did the car experiment 5 times.
Can be quite helpful if he likes you. Constantly patronises certain members of the class. Tries to make jokes but they are generally not good.
He clearly understands his topic, yet is inept at conveying it to his students, or indeed staying on topic, or at anything else that might actually help his students.
has become progressively worse over the years. Various classic comments about students' appearances, but that does not excuse the general twatish behavior. More awful jokes about the moon than actual help given.
how many people does he need to tell him that no one learns anything from sitting round the front listening to him talk about nothing for an hour
