"Get the PCP out now lads or there'll be trouble", man must have a shelf at home dedicated to terrible one liners, absolute gent though and great craic, can lose the head and look at yee liked he's chewed a wasp but his careers advice was very good in the words of walrus mccullagh
Finished my time at St.Michaels last year, and I can say without a doubt Sean is one of the few teachers to leave a lasting impression on me. Civil but brutally honest when he needs to, Knowledgeable, and always looking out for the lads best interests - even taking the time to council students he doesn't teach. His many connections to the world outside secondary education and is probably one of the busiest, hard working teachers in the country, mean St. Michael's is very lucky to have this man.
Great for careers advice but that's about it
An unfairly judged, criticised and reviewed teacher, Mr. Carlin is only disliked by those who don't do their work. He's a lovely, committed and hardworking guy who really wants to see students do well. Just have your work done and don't be deliberately contrarian. He's exceptionally knowledgable, eminently helpful and lethally fair, all traits which help make him one of the most rational and reasonable teachers in the school.
I had this man for both science and careers, honestly I'm surprised at the bad review he's gotten. This man was the saving grace for St. Michaels in my opinion and was one of the best teachers I've ever had. The only complaint I would have for the man is that he occasionally tryed to teach us things we didn't need to know at the time, and honestly that's not that bad of a trait.
gud teacher ...................................... ............................................................................................
Excellant careers teacher. Gives you advice when your stuck. tip: make sure you have all your careers files and stuff for that day!!
taught he is very into his work, he gets good results better in careers than science
Helps you if you help yourself. Has no time for laziness and I found him more than helpful on a number of occasions. Nice man out of school too.
I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework."
class careers teacher-don't get on the wrong side of him
This guy helped me out re: careers. Wouldn't be where I am today without him.
A legend. pure and simple. had to teach a difficult p.e section but those who done the work survived.
"Shurrup and sit down". Was surprisingly unhelpful for a Donegal man with CAO forms. Took Careers too seriously but was there to help when needed - when the results came out.
Turns up 15 minutes late, then because we have to take books out he claims that we've held up the class and keeps us behind! Class is filled with ''quick examples,'' so no teaching
worst most irritating careers "teacher" ever, pretends to be bending over backwards for you but gives you a mouthful about why its your fault when you need help.
