She banished me from the top set, looking back it was definitely my fault :L
Great maths teacher and form tutor. Shame she's no longer head of house. I remember I lost my jacket once and Mrs Coull was very helpful with finding it :)
Sometimes she's good, sometimes she's bad. She doesn't tend to spend too much time helping you if you're stuck, although she does make a small effort, and she whizzes through work. However my Maths mark was sufficient for me to go into a high set in Year 7, so she must be doing something right.
Mrs Coull was great, she puts up with a LOT from the boys, i personally look back and feel guilty about the amount of time i wasted (and hers as well) in my A levels. Yes it is true that she puts a lot up on the board and expects you to copy it down, but how else do you teach advanced maths? I still look back at my A level stats notes, and mechanics and I'm doing my doctorate now, which says a lot about her abilty as a teacher and the quality of her notes, well done.
True that her one and only style is to write things on the board and expect them to be copied, but when you dont understand something, invariably, she will explain it well enough that it becomes clear afterwards. I do believe her sense of humour exists, although it is quite shy, and as such, doesn't put in an appearance too often.
Has one teaching style...she writes notes on the board and we copy them. Have had her as a teacher for years and she gets quite boring after a while. Does get through the work though at least.
