Undoubtedly 1 of the best teachers in the School, the Borough & probably the City, if not the Country. Followed his passion & it really came across in classes. Above all, taught pupils rigour in formulating arguments, assessing credibility of evidence, plus proper structuring of essays. But beyond that, taught students critical thinking & persuasive writing skills, for which I am grateful 2 this day. A real inspiration to many people, & reminisce fondly of his brilliant classes. A model 4 all
An outstanding teacher - I feel very privileged to have been taught by him. A brilliant orator and gifted storyteller - the only reason I got an A in History.
The PERFECT and IDEAL teacher that all teachers should be like. He was really more of a leader than a teacher and highly respected.
A gem of a teacher. A genuinely good person and great teacher.
The best History Teacher whos ever lived. A real honour to have been taught by him
The best teacher and mentor that a student can have. It was a privilege.
The best history teacher I ever had - led me to reading History @ Uni and then following up with a Masters
The best teacher I ever had, and the wisest old man I ever met.
Robin made history easy and enjoyable. I'm sure those notes of his have helped many a student and it is not surprising so many of his pupils have gone on to study history in further education.
Outstanding Tahcer who really gave me an education in History, rather then cram teh curiculum down my throat. Got a D in my A level but went on to get a BA (hons) in History from Kent.
i was taught by Mr Nonhebel in 1974; he was good at discipline and made his subject interesting
