I had Mr Stone for four years, from year 8 to GCSE. It's a shame that the other teachers I had at CNS were not as good as him. Yes, he could be strict but only when others tried to mess about or didN't work hard enough.I would not have got an A* in French had it not been for him. He'd knows his stuff and according to my mum, his French accent is a good as the real thing. As for being scary, never saw that but his jokes were shocking. Wished I had taken A level.
He’s pretty controversial, some people love him, others hate him. Personally, I don’t like him because he is far to strict and makes you scared of going to his lessons. Once, he had this foreign assistant or something helping him, and this assistant was taking people out of the class to do work, and while I was gone a sheet was handed out. When I came back I didn’t have a sheet and he shouted at me for a solid 5 minutes but didn’t get annoyed at the person who didn’t give me a sheet 🤷♀️
Never makes you feel good about yourself and calling students chavs is to far and mean. Also never nice to you and has made my learning hard when hes shouting at you.
Had Mr Stone for 3 years of my Modern Foreign Languages studies and my god is he strict but that is his teaching style. Will only yell if you are distracting other students or not paying attention. When he is in a good mood his lessons can be very entertaining.
I had nick aton go the first half of year 7 and am of year 8, out of all the teachers I have had so far for languages he has been the best. Yes he is strict but only on those who mess around or don't do what he says. Its simple he is a fantastic teacher if you do mess around!
Mr Stone gets the best marks in the worst way possible. He feels like at any moment he could explode into shouting, I used to visibly shake during his lessons. A good teacher should motivate students and help them get the best results they can WITHOUT making them cry (twice) Take Mrs Cordy, she commands respect, treats us like humans, helps us do our very best; getting the job very well done with just the right amount of sass. I'd like my stress to come from exams and not mortaly dreading French
A very harsh, cold man. Made my year 8 very unhappy :(
Nick Stone is a great teacher! He won't let you get away with messing about and demands high standards, just like a great teacher should! An old school teacher, there should be more like him!
Treats stupidity from his students or indeed other teachers with equal contempt! :'D ....legend!
Top lad! Literally the best teacher in the school. Very strict but very fair. People only hate him because he doesn't let you mess around in lessons, but guess what? That's school. Got me through my GCSEs and gives very good life advice. Cheers, sir!
He is one of the strictest teacher I've ever met, however he is a very resourceful knowledgeable teacher who will always do his best to help you get the grade you want. He teaches more the language than the curriculum, which I feel is more beneficial to all. As long as you're reasonable and get your work done, he can be one of the nicest teachers in the school. I still know him as someone I can have a laugh with based on a football team rivalry.
he is disiplined but gets his points across nicely
A good teacher. He will Get you an A*. These people are wimps. Enough.
It is really not fair to scare your students so much they are forced to try and learn rather than get them interested. Despite this I see him look down and yell at support staff as if they were children!
I learnt more with him than any other French teacher I had, by FAR. But, he can often be pretty intimidating, rude to other teachers, and strict. Not afraid to make people cry. He tells good story tho
he aint too bad... u can make jokes and have a laff wiv him if he's in a GOOD mood but if not >:( so watch out but he'll actually teach u unlike other teachers
he doesn't like listening to music in the canteen, he gets confused about people who actually attend the school and he cant tell one student from another.
really funny chap, great sense of humor. Danke herr Stone sehr gut lehrer!
