A long time since he was my teacher but best teacher I ever had and I still fondly remember him
Best teacher we've ever had. Great sense of humour, has a lot of wit and banter to offer as well as being a sponge for stories and general knowledge (getting arrested in Korea, working in a mental institution and cultural misunderstandings to mention a few). No two lessons were ever the same and we'll always remember them with great fondness! Thank you Mr Kelsted for being an all-round excellent person #koolstedsincedayone
He is currently my teacher but never marks our work properly. He seems to tell us off all the time for things we have not done.
Love him, inspirational
AMAZING TEACHER AND FORM TUTOR! but he definitely has his favourites... glad I'm one of them :D really nice and absolutely hilarious, he once told us a story about how he was arrested in China for being Dutch...
Really funny and clearly knowledgeable but he didn't really pass this knowledge on to us, for essays he'd basically say everything to write and then we'd scribble it down and turn it into full sentences...
I'm not sure I could actually rank Mr Keslted properly a 5/5 for any of the above categroies, as they don't really match up to the kind of guy he is, or his teaching style, I just wanted to give him 15/15 for being my favourite teacher Of All Time, bar none.
The definition of Old School teaching... off beat, acerbicly witty, genuinely passionate, not that fussed about the brain-numbing reductionist curriculum models as with inspiring and improving minds. Living legend, I'' always remember him.
I say a 5 for easiness not because he was easy but because it was good that he wasn't easy. One of my favourite teachers - he had a brilliant mind and a great sense of humour.
One of my faourite teachers in my time at Tiffin. Definitely a breath of fresh air from your standard 'non vitae sed scholae discimus' ethos at TGS.
very funny. and i will never forget the time where he made me run around the class collecting homework when i forgot mine.
At first I worried about his sense of humour but he's really nice and so funny! I enjoyed english for the first time since year 7! Really good teacher and nice guy, and fun! Makes you like learning!
He is such a good teacher, so enthusiastic and fun to be around.
had the most fun in english for gcse...sadly didn't learn much - radio programmes, crosswords and cutting out balconies :) he definitely has favourites! VERY cool!!
Brilliant. Just write down everything he says in the lesson and use this to revise from, sorted. That's assuming he doesn't go off on a bizarre tangent and waste your time.
certainly knows his stuff, unfortunately when it came to favourites he was terribly unsubtle. not good
Wacky teacher with an eye for the extraordinary- can set a good challege when he wants too, and was certainly an inspiration for me (though I couldn't abide the interminable spelling tests...)
