Nice enough guy, but gave different grades to 3 identical items of coursework. He was also fairly dismissive of any point of view outside of the Bible. Kind and friendly dude though.

Hes gone to South Africa now, Mr Evans is the new R.S teacher. Although Dr. Applegate was very patient, he was extremely absent minded, however if tolerance of lack-of-prep was second to none!

intersting and informative although he expects you to do most of the work at home in what he calls self-teaching which is slightly unreasonable

Reasonable teacher, but was rather preachy in terms of Christianity at times, sometimes to the detriment of other religious study.

Well, unpopular he might be, and that's in part because nobody seems to care about his subject - but really, he works wonders with the 35 minutes he gets weekly in getting a GCSE course into your brains.

he lets everyone speak their mind and he is never forced to shout. he puts a lot of effort into teaching us and nobody has a problem with him at all. a first-class teacher, one of the best at the school.

He's a good teacher with an uncanny ability to know everyone's name. Lazy with marking but no-one seems to care, and he really knows his stuff.

Kind and thoughtful teacher, with the amazing ability to know every single boys name in the school. Lessons were really in the trus essenc of teaching, whilst not always on the prescribed target we were taught to think for ourselves and evaluate our own moral compass, which was far more vaulable than jumping through hoops set by the LEA. And it didn't stop everybody getting A* in GCSEs anyway!

Religion lessons are never going to appeal to the masses, but the Rev does a great job at provoking interesting class discussions and is sure to set you up well for GCSE Religion.

Takes very interesting lessons, and great knowledge of theology, even if it isn't always relevant.

You don't realise just how good he is until at least yr11. The Rev is a fantastic teacher for Philosophy, and he actually seems to care about everyone's wellbeing. Also, rarely, if ever, takes work in. 'Ave it.

If there was a diploma in the art of boring people to the point of suicide, this man would get it. Oh, he's a relatively good teacher, but all in all, he'd be a lot less boring if he'd let us study interesting things.
