Wit without sarcasm, bringing hope to the faithful, or was it faith to the hopeless? Either way, my maths A level, unexpected but welcome, courtesy of Mr Silcock, saw me into University. I went to get my results and LS was there. "Well done, you pulled it off again!" Modesty and celebratory congrats
I swear he is faster than a calculator and he manages to give laid back lessons while keeping control of the class.
Form tutor for 2 years, and his attitudes to that suited me fine =P Maths with him is superb, I think he's more enthusiastic about Core than Stats, calculus is taught v.well. Human calculator, too =P
I love this guy. Top man and the best teacher Ive had in the school.
Got me an A in Maths. Without this man I would never have considered taking Maths further, now I'm doing Maths A level and I love it.
Was my form tutor for two years. Could be infuriating, and was rather lazy when it came to being a form tutor. But is a great maths teacher, and helped when I had the dreaded Ian Knowles.
Les was my maths teacher in 1980/81. Absolutely Brilliant.
Best mathematics teacher in the school. A fantastic example to other teachers.
Great teacher! Explains everything very clearly and if you have a problem he doesn't tell you the answer, but aids in helping you to work it out yourself.
