total legend, invigorated teaching style, top man
Favourite teacher at MGS. He was/is a great man and I'd love to meet up with him for a beer.
Great teacher. Best history trips ever and awesome squash coach
Fantastic History Trips - Probably had the best Weekends ever!
Best history teacher i have ever had, would not get through Vietnam without him. such a shame he won't teach it again. he is now part time but still does more work than anyone else in the school.
He is possibly the best, most inspirational teacher to have ever graced the Manchester Grammar School. He fills his lessons with unparallelled energy and is possibly the main cause of deforestation in Brazil (too many notes).
He is probably the nicest man I have ever met. He loves his subject so much - and his enthusiasm drives and spurs countless people on. He is a great, great man.
Absolutely the best teacher I had. On BBC Radio 5 former England Captain Michael Atherton and historian and Tv presenter Michael Wood were both reminsicing about how good he was and how he inspired them too.
I'm amazed that this guy is still there. He taught me History from 1971-3. Top guy, even if he did worship David Maland
The best teacher I ever had. His lessons were entertaining; his notes brilliant. Really nice guy too, of course. I was privileged to have him as a sixth-form tutor.
Commands the ultimate respect from everyone. Great guy to have on trips. Sharp, witty, good notes. School would not be the same without him. Taught me in 97.
One the legends of MGS. Let us watch apocolypse now when studying vitnam war. HAnded out PS's like confetti to all the people that gave him stick
superstar of the mgs history department definite mvp of the the skool
What more could you ask for. Explains everything well so we can remember it and he acts alot out Fantastic!!!
Fantastic teacher. Gives you loads of really good notes. Explains things really well. Top guy to go on trips. Has loads of energy and enthusiasm when it comes to sport and cards. One of the best teachers ar MGS
Top banana, especially on history trips...3 Castles and a brewery '02!
Along with Mr Frost and Mr McGilivray (RIP), Shoardy is part of the furniture at MGS, it just wouldn't be the same without him. Inspirational.
Absolutely class.Funny, dedicated to his students, helpful and all round nice guy. legend.
What a teacher, although the ecologists may be onto him, his notes have probably wasted about a rainforest!
Nice man, but cannot teach History. He seems to know his stuff, but he doesn't use it. It is a shame, 'cos he could be amazing. History could be so much more interesting.
Best teacher in the world..knows the future as well as everthing in the past..might be the funniest person iv ever met...his legend will live on at MGS...long live the revolution!
