Unquestionably the most gifted teacher I ever came across. I ended up chosing a career path unrelated to physics, but I still think about Jim and his classes often. More than physics, he taught us how to think for ourselves. Thanks Jim. Hells bells.

Had him 10yrs ago for A-level physics. His classes and stories were both interesting and hilarious. Very helpful/thoughtful both academically and on a personal level. Great for careers advice. This guy should be principal. Best teacher I ever had.

Absolute legend. Made GCSE Physics interesting, I actually enjoyed going to his class. Felt bad about not having my homework done. Loved his stories. Would have liked to do Physics for AS but didn't get the grades. Fabulous careers teacher. He's the reason I decided to do psycology next year. Extremely helpful.

I had the good fortune of being in Mr Woods' class right through from the first day of school through to the end of my A-Level Physics. While he maintained discipline, he was universally liked (a feat that few teachers manage). An inspiration, and I fully attribute the PhD that I now hold to his advice.....wish there were more teachers like him.

Woodey is a legend, his notes are really confusing if your not in his class, but you end up learning everything and doing half the writing. His stories are the best.
