A true AGS legend, we will be very sad to see him go. Evidently hugely passionate about his subject, and has extremely wide-ranging knowledge, always at hand for 'a slight digression'. Fabulous.
Is a good teacher but seems to go off his rocker sometimes with metaphorical grapes etc.
Pretty good guy for somebody who is about 3000 years old.
He is quite an eccentric teacher and tends to get sidetracked for half the lesson. At least his stories are good though, and he never shouts, although it's annoying when he bangs his text book on the table.
hes great he tells great stories about greek mythology
Great teacher. Very passionate about Latin, and could always entertain you with a story or three. Truly one of AGS's best.
He slammed a book on a table to make us shut up but he broke it in the mean time and it fell apart. VVV Funnny!
is it medical, is it medical. are they the only words he knows.
Used some really leftfield methods to get the best out of his pupils, the metaphorical cream bun and simulation of digging with a shovel amongst others. Was my house tutor for 6 years but couldn't even remember my name. Bizarre but brilliant.
hes very funny. i like it how he has his closet door as his gate. my freinds and i refer to his lessons as story time.
The best teacher in the entire world, he's better than augustus and pericles combined!!
geeze has him in year 7. his stories very interesting, maybe less cupboard door slamming please! didn't like the constant essays we had to keep doing
He is a good head of house and he has a "pointing finger" which I think is possessed
Very laid back, good teacher. His lessons affectionately called "story-time with Uncle Ferris," as he tends not to teach so much as tell stories.
If you think he just gives out metaphorical rewards, you would be wrong, I went on the Latin trip and as a prize for a quiz, I got a real cream bun! Never had a week without a test, but by the end you know every word you need to
Mr Ferris ruled when I was at AGS. The ability to get him to ramble off on some tangent was fantastic. And he pissed himself when I did an Ian Paisley impression during a Greek test
Once gave me a giant cream filled metaphorical donut!
Ah, he's such a great bloke, he rocks bear. One of the best teachers there's ever been!
he is very enthusiastic about his subject but sometimes expects too much and rarely punishes even having given warnings
he is an amazing guy and he is always ready to help you. he is sometimes really tough but only when he needs to be. HE IS A LEGEND!!!!
Mr Ferris is an outstanding teacher. He is extremely enthusiastic about his subject and is very helpful and encouraging. He puts a lot of work into teaching to make sure that his students take in and understand as much information as they can. His 'firm but fair' attitude when it comes to discipline issues is also extremely commendable.
