Mr Hill taught me in sixth form in 1982! He fought for me to succeed, which I remember with respect, but these days what I remember most was how he made me think for myself about politics and current events. Many of the views I formed at this age with his instinctive way of treating us, for the first time, as young adults, stay with me to this day. I remember absolutely clearly the Falklands War discussions that we had in our tiny Applied Maths group. Fond memories.
Mr Hill was my teacher in 1976. He was fantastic then and it's great to see he's still going strong.
I went on to do maths at Polytechnic, he was and is an inspiration.
Mr Hill was brilliant at further maths in sixth form and ocassionally got the noisy ones in the class to shut up. Some may not get his humour but I thought he was great.
quite insulting but knows what he's talking about. good teacher but never praises.
He is a godo teacher. funny and sacrastic not so good for lower years I would think though...
awesome teacher. knows an awful lot about his subject and brings humour into his lessons
Extremely clever man with a unique ability to impart knowledge onto his pupils... gets very good results.
