One of my favourite teachers and also a friend. Ha has taught me a lot and is a respected by all who get to know him. He still continues to help and is a fountain of knowledge.
fantastic teacher who was and still is extremely helpful. could not have asked for a more enthusiastic and caring member of faculty during that vital UCAS experience. thankyou Guy!
In lower school he seemed horribly and terrifying, but by sixth form you found out that he both really cared as a teacher and was just brilliant. Been a massive influence on my life.
Overly strict but respected for his wealth of experience. Exactly what you want from a Deputy Head
anyone there during the Jay Song incident? if a lot of people recently failed to get into oxbridge (eg just before christmas) then look out. great guy otherwise.
Just use 'prevaricate' or 'engender' in his presence and he will hero worship you forever. Failing that, get into Oxbridge. Seriously, Gibbo is a really passionate guy who can inspire you when he gets going with his enthusiasm. Down points - a fierce temper and a penchant to go into the etymology of every other word he mentions.
this guy is safe he is quite inconsistant wiv his temper, really depends what mood hes in, he can be really nice, jokey, and understanding, or far too harsh.
why is everyone scared of him. he might be strict but i stuck up 2 him.
He's actually not that bad when you get higher up the school, but I truly could tell you some stories. DO NOT GET ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HIM LOWER SCHOOL.
dont do anything but listen wen he talks - if u r a daredevil answer a question, keep conversations with him as short as poss. to avoid gettin him mad at the smallest of things. A bit out of order, strict but knows his stuff - nd thats the main thing.m (i do h8 him but wot i sed iz true)
Really scary at first, and perhaps needs to change his attitude about "yobbish" culture - it's modern life. Somehow you get the feeling that he's always there, and can track who typed what in here at what moment where. A bit more bearable in upper school, and can be really understanding about serious issues like "yobbos" stealing bikes.
Teaches with an iron fist in the lower school, but later on you come to appreciate why. Better off to those higher in the system - but still has his moments. Keeps the School in order - but unfortunatly of late age seems to be showing with some opinions/comments that are unexpected and very close to unnaceptable in modern society.
Nice to you in sixth form, and a very helpful teacher too. Seriously scary in lower school
He's funny when he has a go at the year 7's, but i remember is was quite scary...
Innit when he comes everyone checks their shirts and ties
Agree - v. scary in lower school. He wears the trousers, not Mr Ironside. He is more dominant and controlling - has much more power.
Scares you to death in lower school, great teacher at 6th form
