An absolute legend after leaving school a read a peice in the local paper about him suffering from Parkinson’s. He was quoted when discussing the disease by comparing it to dementia as “I’d rather spill half my pint than forget completely where I left it!” He was a dry witted, highly knowledgable teacher that didn’t suffer fools.
in my time at inst all the teachers i had seemed to treat it like a job (which it was, so fair enough). But frank ormsby had a genuine love for english language and literature and that couldn't help but inspire you. The best teacher i ever had and i'm proud to have been one of his many pupils.
Best teacher I ever had bar none
absoloute ledgend my class were the last ones to get him we were the last ones to find out how to catch a unicorn
As good as they get! This man is a one in a million, taught me how to catch a unicorn, i'll never forget him. go on franky baby!
Total legend, doesn't get any better than big Franky Baby
Double legend, even in the 70s when he taught me. Drove a Lada and once used the 'c'-word in class
Strict but a great teacher. He is passionate about his subject and has a great sense of humour too.
what a classic teacher, passionate about his subject and an honour for the school to have a teacher like him
Very passionate teacher who projected his love of words to the whole class. one of the few in this school who actually praised pupils.
One of the best teachers in the school. He hated you if you were a messer but no probs otherwise and his stories were very funny.
Best teacher I have ever experienced. His knowledge and compassion for his subject are greater than that of any teacher in the school. His strict and hilarious classes produce good results.
quality teacher, his stories are very funny. if u do wat ur told he's dead on but dont get on his wrong side. best teacher 4 oedipus. watch out for his wee glances out the side of his eye when he read
o my goodness .. i cannot say this enough,, the absolute bets teacher in inst. he should be principal. Soooo funny and such a teacher .bit strict but no one is perfect!
He shouts alot and isnt very friendly but he is hilarious, he taught me how to catch a unicorn which has helped me alot in later life, thanks frankie
very foul mouthed when i had him but he was a good teacher and a fantastic poet, should lay off the liquor though
Foul mouth, terrifying at first but what fantastic craic after you get to know him. A fiery, inspirational character that i will not forget
scares crap out of u if u r11or18,still a great teacher, controls the class beter than any teachers, still has an excellent teaching style, got me AA(gcse)A(a-leve
FRANK'S CLASSES WERE ALWAYS CHALLENGING,INSTRUCTIVE AND ENTERTAINING. HE WOULD NEVER STAND FOR ANY MUCKING ABOUT EITHER.
I love Frank, fair enough you had to be good as Choir boys but his sense of humour was legendary and only suitable for teenage boys
