Mrs Cooksey has a variable personality. She can be nice sometimes and she almost never shouts. However, she lacks organisation skills as she shows up 15 minutes late for lessons because she “was in a meeting” or gives no excuse at all. She sometimes accuses students of things they havn’t done and often tells them off because they couldn’t find her. Overall I would not recommend Mrs Cooksey as a teacher.
From my experience, Mrs Cooksey is somewhat variable, depending on whether or not she likes you. I have always found her a very knowledgable and efficient teacher in my LAMDA lessons (extra-curricular). However she has turned me into a sort of messenger for my slightly disorganised friend, which is a little awkward...
bit of an odd character I must say, but seems like she is very knowledgeable in her field while also having a true passion which is commendable.
Just boring and argumentative in general. Has some issues with particular students but overall bearable for one or two hour lessons a week.
Have had Mrs Cooksey for 3 years now, ever since I started at Howell's. Really enjoyed the GCSE drama course with her; looking forward to continuing speech with her too :-) Overall, great teacher, really enthusiastic and obviously wants everyone to do well. You have to be punctual and organised, or you'll be on her bad books. You either love her or dislike her, it depends how you behave really.
I had more to do with Mrs Cooksey in an extracurricular context than during school hours. However, she was friendly and made an effort to meet students expectations. I had a lot of fun both in her lessons and in after school speech and drama. As I got older, I found her to be more and more self-orientated and rigid, however I still liked her and she knew what she was doing.
taught me in st teilos. amazing teacher, missed her when she moved to howells.
after school drama. our drama group rock. she can put up with the worst of people.
