I didn't have him for French while I was at Hunsley as he retired when I was in Year 9. I was finding GCSE French very hard, so Miss Lowe recommended I hire him as a tutor. I did, and I certainly didn't regret it. He helped me improve my assessment grades from two C's to an A and a high B! He also tutored me for my Year 11 French exams, he's good in the sense that he isn't strict but still pushes you to do the best that you can do, very funny too! I got a high B thanks to him! Thanks Mr Binks!
Focused, easy-going and brings the best out of you
A really legendary teacher, makes everyone laugh and even if his methods are a bit old school, they work!! Some people don't really get him, but I think he's great :D
Amazing - hes a great teacher, and manages to run table tennis every week, and everybody's ucas - i dont know how he does it!!!
Legend! He has given me so much confidence over the last two years! Would not have taken french if it wasn't for him!! And he makes lessons fun :)
Mr Binks = PROPER LEGEND!! He has all these classic sayings like 'what a geezer' and he always carries around that old 'Wimbledon' sports bag.... what legend.
Binks is awesome!!!!! Though his moustache has now gone he still cracks me up every lesson!
Amazing teacher! The SOLE reason I didn't drop French at the first opportunity. He's tough on people that don't try, but it tends to make them sit up and work. Gave me loads of confidence too. The first time in my life I volunteered to do a speaking test early. Never thought that would happen before, just sit back until last and hope for an act of God so I could get out of it! But I got top marks on it too!
He is the reason I got an A at GCSE. Best teacher I ever had
He carries that sports bag with prowess, just don't get on the wrong side of him and his moustache
