Outstanding teacher, always found a perfect balance between teaching and telling stories in and out of context to keep all students engaged. He was always able to control even the most rebellious students without raising his voice. Had a huge impact upon my attitude, respect towards and understanding of what teachers are required to do. It is up to teachers to provide the materials and knowledge of which the students can then use to achieve their best, which is exactly what Mr Waring did.
The man, the myth, the legend. Mr Waring is a fantastic teacher and amazing as a form tutor. I had the utmost respect for him and he was very caring towards his form class especially the likes of me who took big school very hard in the early years lol.
Absolute gentleman and compared to that stuck up wipe leathly he is practically a saint!
I even gave him my russian hat at the end of 5th year lol.
Far more concise and direct than leathley!! Amazing teacher, loves his communism as can be seen from his Che Guevara diary!!
Undoubtedly the best History teacher at Inst. He gives good, clear and concise notes which aren't made complicated by overly dramatic speech (hint hint Mr Leathley). Friendly aswell, plus he's easily sidetracked by communist talk!
fantastic teacher for politics, only reason some people may have failed is cause they were too lazy to revise the other topic he taught us.
Had him for politics and history. Puts so much effort into lessons, could teach you anything, easy going yet controls the class perfectly, has a very funny side and is just an all round great teacher
Had him for 6 out of 7 years. The best teacher I've ever had.
Absolutely brilliant teacher. A passion for his subject, fair and all round a top guy.
Always very well organised and informative. Always willing to answer questions and trys to be as helpful as possible. Can be quite funny when he wants to be.
One of the best teachers I've ever met. Well organised, thoughtful, friendly and talented. He joined the school during my time there and I'm sorry I couldn't have got him from the outset.
'Right gents, I'm a nice guy'..and so it turned out. He manages to combine an international hockey career and playing for Lisnagarvey by being extremely organised.
Absolutely brilliant teacher. Thank you for the A in AS level history, I doubt I would of gotten it without your help!
top notch teacher. got me an a. seriously organised and a nice guy too boot. one of the best teachers i've ever had
Puts so much effort into teaching - why he's so good at it.
he is very helpful and knows his subject well. he has taught me a lot for GCSE and because of him i'll probably do a level history. just wished he called everyone their first name.
Brian was great, a brilliant teacher, one of the reasons I want to teach history when I finish university!
an excellent teacher but he needs to work on his social skills, found it funny when he got robbed at games, comes across too serious sometimes
A top-notch guy and great teacher. He goes out of his way to fully prepare his classes and treats everyone with equal respect and courtesy. Thanks Brian!
Excellent teacher, 6th sense for predicting exam questions. Very helpful and easily approachable. "The waring-ator". Merci!
Excellent role model for teachers acrossRBAI,to the point and direct approaching technique, consistent lesson plans and gives confidence to pupils,Thankyou Brian
Helpful guy who is easy to talk to and a great teacher.
One of the best dean's/vp's' Always gives a fair chance and is a nice guy to talk to.
Brian has his flaws, one is picking out favourites with first names and rest with surnames but he has huge respect from school
This guy teaches me History, and he is the most clear minded and an easy-to-comprehend teacher in the History department. Did wonders for my AS levels.
