Her repetitive use of sarcasm makes it difficult to take her seriously - but a knowledgeable and comprehensive teacher none-the-less. Has no problem in making you feel undereducated - makes it difficult to ask questions.
seriously sarcastic, i think she depends on it to help her through her day. Has done well with her life with the hindrance of being named Bernard. sound woman good teacher, probably the best in the maths department.
Although i agree that she is very sarcastic, and i also didn't like maths, she was a very good teacher. She knew her stuff inside and out and was easier to understand than other teachers in what i would call a complex subject.
I'm very surprised by reviews so far - I think she's a warm, direct, approachable teacher who knows her stuff and gets through it quickly. Why have people reviewed her without having her for maths?
Bernard's contributions to our Maths Department have been inadequate from day one to say the least. Not a great teacher and a deeply unpleasant human being.
Thank you so much, Bernard. Your 'Financial Advice' classes this year have afforded me enough knowledge to get through life without any fiscal problems.
Occasional tyrant, one of those teachers who hasn't really done anything of real note in seven years (apart from going on maternity leave).
Will always remember hearing Bernarde screeching her head off in the other room as we sat in Sinead Burns' class. It was quite an ordeal for our ears, as you can imagine.
I've never had Bernard for maths, but she seems to have lightened up in recent years. Just don't push her to the edge.
I was never taught by Bernard, but from what I've heard her classes are quite interesting.
Sound but underestamated my ablitys she said i would get a 5 but got a 6 in key stage 3. HA HA and thats the game.
was sound, nearly got an a in my a'level, she didnt invite our class to her wedding though, even though we got her a card! boo!
