Mr Smith has to be one of the worst teachers in thurso High School, If you ask him to help you he might try, usually confuses you even more or just goes completely off the topic! My class ended up only getting half of the course done before the exam and he said hed taught us all of it but hadnt because none of us knew the answers. Really dull and hard to understand. He looses his temper and makes words up. Then gives you experiments that had nothing to do with that part of the course. Physics is hard enuf!

If you could rate teachers with negatives i would. Mr Smith seems to pick people at the begining of the year that he will pick on for the duration of the course. my table was constantly split up and punished most of the time for no reason at all. admitidly the class did mess around a bit but Mr Smith often punished the wrong students. The "ums" and "ems" don't help pupils understand what is already a difficult subject that Mr Smith seems to know little about

Unengaging lessons, sometimes a lot of patience - sometimes none at all. Clearly had a lot of knowledge and on occasion explained things very well, but not often enough. Would be a great teacher if he had a better delivery.

Mr Smith can talk about anything and everything for 55 minutes 4 times a week APART fae the subject your actually on. He keeps forgetting what we have done and he dosent plan his lessons at all, probably becasue he cant find his lesson planner along with his glasses, white board marker, car keys and various other unrelated things. He also cant answer any students questions just starts talking about summat else and leaves them more confused than ever. The only good thing is he can keep control (kinda....)

He tends to drone on and on and doesn't explain things very clearly. Very few people ever have any clue what's going on in my class and when you ask for help he doesn't answer the question properly :S

My best lessons with Mr Smith were when he went on (completely off the course) and talked for the double period about everything and anything. So interesting. He wasnt the *best* teacher - but he knew a hell of a lot - it was just the course that was boring =S

Everything he says always manages to end up at a conversation about the ice age. He can be a bit gurney, but he's an ok guy. Some classic memories from that physics class.
