Just what the school needed, a refreshing change. He has had a difficult job.
It is obvious that patel wanted to put his mark on the school and make it is own. In some aspects i think the changes he made were good but in other areas of the school he changed for the worse and thats when people disliked him. However i have always thought it was good how 'his door was always open' and how he wondered round the school and interacted with the children, unlike storey who was never seen. He should have took over from storey without making changes, as the school was oustanding!
I find Dr Patel an arrogant individual. I have yet to speak to anyone ( pupil, parent or ex teachers) who have a positive word to say about him. He may have maintained good grades over the past 3 years ( how much of that is actually down to him and how much is down to the hard work of both the students and teachers is disputeable) but he has made The Hayfield School into a much less enjoyable place to learn.
I for one think that Sai Patel is doing a great job with the school. The work he has done and the changes he has made, has meant that results have improved consistently year on year. I think that it will be a real shame for the kids if Sai leaves. I hope that whatever is going on behind the scenes (which I won't speculate about or listen to rumours) it all gets sorted out and the school can regain their focus on what is important - educating our children!
Very arrogant individual who is happy to humiliate both staff, pupils and parents. Do not know a single person who is happy with him.
very good head teacher, fair and works v hard for the good of the pupils and our school may not be liked by most, but in years to come i think people will see how hard he is trying for us students
Yeah so people dont like change, and rumours occur at the end of the day i think the change is for the better and if you have a problem with it then you can easily speak to him without judgement.
The school was going downhill when Mr Storey retired. Dr Patel has raised standards and results.
